What you’ll find
The platform is organized into learning paths by skill level and role. There are beginner tracks for people who’ve never written a prompt, intermediate courses on custom instructions and GPTs, and developer-focused content on the API and function calling.
The prompting guides are practical. They cover techniques like few-shot examples, role assignment, and output formatting — the basics that make a real difference in daily use. If you’ve been using ChatGPT by just typing whatever comes to mind, these guides will show you what you’re missing.
Where it shines and where it doesn’t
OpenAI Academy works best as a starting point. The courses are well-organized and the progression makes sense — you won’t get lost jumping between topics. For someone who’s been using ChatGPT casually for months, an afternoon here will meaningfully improve your results.
