Grok Imagine Video 1.5 is xAI’s video model, generally available since 16 June 2026. It makes clips of up to 15 seconds, with sound generated in the same pass. A July update added native 1080p, text-to-video without a starting image, and reference images for characters and objects (up to 7 in the apps, up to 14 through the API).
Stylized motion
Like its image counterpart, Grok Imagine Video excels at the unconventional. It may struggle to generate a perfectly realistic physics simulation of water splashing, but it is excellent at maintaining consistent artistic styles across frames in an animation.
