Figma Make is Figma’s entry into AI-powered design and app generation. It generates interactive prototypes and even Supabase-backed web apps from short prompts or existing Figma frames, keeping everything aligned with your Figma design system.
Design-system alignment
The most useful thing about Figma Make is how tightly it sits inside Figma. Generated screens follow your existing design system, using your components, colors, typography, and spacing. So the AI output feels native to your project instead of generic.
Prototype generation
Where it earns its place is interactive prototypes that show a complete user flow. Instead of static screens, you get clickable prototypes that walk through how a user would move through your app. That’s genuinely handy for stakeholder presentations and user testing.
From design to code
The front-end code generation closes some of the usual gap between design and development. The generated code isn’t always production-ready, but it gives developers a decent starting point to refine and build on.
Still catching up
Against dedicated AI design tools like UX Pilot or Replit Design Mode, Figma Make is still maturing. The AI is good but not best-in-class yet. For teams already living in Figma, though, having AI design inside the workflow they already use counts for a lot.
